Vintage Persian Heriz Rug 8'2 x 12'. As perpetually fashionable as they are collectible, traditional Heriz rugs are skillfully woven in vibrant colors and emphatic geometric designs. The Heriz district of NW Persia has been weaving carpets for over a century, with geometric designs and tonalities ranging from mellow to saturated. Medallion layouts are by far the most common, but semi-stylized version of classic allover Persian patterns are found. Blues range from navy to powder and reds go from tomato to buff. The foundations are cotton, and the knots are always symmetric (Turkish). This Heriz has a character all its own and will become a natural focal point in any setting. Colors: brick/ivory/blues

Caring for your rug
Vacuum your rug frequently and use a vacuum which uses suction and does not have bristles. If possible, set vacuum to low power setting and vacuum the rug up and down and do not use a back-and-forth motion.
If possible, rotate the rug every few years to allow foot traffic to be spread evenly and shade the rug from direct sunlight to avoid fading in areas.
A rug pad is recommended on all surfaces to prevent slipping and stop marking if on floors with grooves or lines. Professional cleaning is recommended every two or three years.
