Antique Persian Distressed Overdyed Kerman Rug 11'3 x 19'. This is a fine example of an Overdyed area rug. These rugs demonstrate a process best described as 'The modern palette applied to classics'. It consists of an added step to the finishing process in which the rug is antique washed, sheared, and finally hand dyed in a full immersion bath of a chosen color. The effect is quite stunning, adding a vibrant overcast to the whole rug and blending seamlessly with the prior dyes. It has a very low pile, this is done deliberately to create the look. The rug has a solid foundation and will stand up to the rigors of normal daily use. Colors: shocking blue/black.

Caring for your rug
Caring for your rug
Vacuum your rug frequently and use a vacuum which uses suction and does not have bristles. If possible, set vacuum to low power setting and vacuum the rug up and down and do not use a back-and-forth motion.
If possible, rotate the rug every few years to allow foot traffic to be spread evenly and shade the rug from direct sunlight to avoid fading in areas.
A rug pad is recommended on all surfaces to prevent slipping and stop marking if on floors with grooves or lines. Professional cleaning is recommended every two or three years.
